NATIONAL DEWORMING DAY
PRECAUTION IS BETTER THAN CURE
To combat the situation of worm infection in India, Indian Government (Ministry
of Health Family Welfare) launched the National Deworming Day on 1 May 2019 .
The aim of this programme is to deworm all the children from 1 to 19 years and
improve their well being. To run the programme successfully and to keep our
students healthy and away from infection Albendazole tablets were administered
to all the students at Sunrise Public School - Baruna .
Our Principal Mrs.
Hardeep Kaur said that the Government of India’s national De-worming Day, is a
step towards the fulfillment of the commitment towards reducing soil transmitted
helminthes type of worms, a public health problem in India and around the world .
She also instructed to the students that Deworming helps to control anaemia and
also improves nutritional uptake.
